I see my role as a counselor is one of an assistant or facilitator. I believe we all have the ability to help ourselves but we sometimes need a little help. As we go about our daily lives, we encounter stress which can affect us in different ways; showing up as depression, anxiety, health problems, or relationship problems. Sometimes we need someone to listen and give us a different perspective on our problems and insight as to how to deal effectively with them. I am familiar with cognitive-behavioral techniques and incorporate family systems and personality theories as needed.

I have 20 years of counseling experience and have been in private practice since 2009. I have experience working with adults and children with a variety of diagnosis and situations. I am often able to schedule individuals within a day or two of their initial call. I am able to see people on Saturdays if necessary.
