For people who have experienced traumatic events, or who live with anxiety, depression, addiction, or other mental health challenges, it can feel like a lot of weight to carry day-to-day. Especially when you're struggling to address the problems or emotions head on. My favorite quote related to therapeutic work is: "You have to feel it to heal it." I work each day collaboratively with my clients to support them in their healing journeys, and to assist them in confronting their most difficult thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Since completion of my graduate training and obtaining my LPCC licensure, I have completed additional coursework and continuing education in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), parts work, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
I believe that working to change not only how you think about your stressors, but also how your body responds to those stressors and those emotions leads to the most effective and holistic therapy experience.
