Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have an extensive background in child welfare and working with families who have experienced abuse and neglect, court issues, etc. I have also been a hospice social worker. My role was to support families, provide education related to the end-of-life process, and support families as they prepare to say goodbye to those they love. I have also worked in public schools providing assessments/evaluations for student who might be struggling in an academic setting, preparing IEPs, providing classroom social-emotional education, and individual social work services.
to students who might be experiencing difficulties with peer relationships, bullying, anger, anxiety, and many other issues that can impact a student's ability to learn and flourish in an educational setting. I help individuals of all ages who might be experiencing feelings related to stress, anxiety, depression, or grief.
My treatment approach is largely cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). This is an evidence-based treatment approach that provides client-specific tools and interventions. Together, we will identify triggers and learn ways to reduce physical and mental symptoms you might be experiencing. I am licensed in Illinois and Texas.
