Are you experiencing overwhelming feelings of sadness, anger or anxiety? Do you struggle completing daily tasks because you are overpowered by constant fatigue, poor concentration or simply feel disconnected from yourself and the world around you? The effects of trauma on an individual can be both physical and emotional, often causing a person to feel unhappy in the present or pessimistic about the future. As a counselor, my approach involves working together with you to address the root of your distress and create meaningful and lasting change.
In addition to working with adults, I also offer counseling for children and adolescents who have been impacted by trauma. I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is specifically geared towards treating emotional and behavioral difficulties in children that are associated with traumatic experiences.
I truly believe that each individual has the ability to achieve the change and healing they desire. Providing an empathetic understanding in an environment where you feel safe will always be fundamental as I help you navigate through your journey.
