I believe we all have the capacity to access our innate wisdom and ability to grow and heal. My approach to counseling is primarily person-centered and trauma-informed, which is grounded in the principles of mindfulness, authenticity, and compassion. My role as a therapist is to help you in your recovery process so that you can increase insight and acceptance of your inner struggles. I am committed to assisting individuals with finding meaning in their pain and purpose in their lives. My philosophy is holistic and integrates emotional, cognitive, somatic, interpersonal, environmental, and spiritual aspects of the human experience.
I have experience working in residential settings, outpatient mental health clinics, and private practice. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I incorporate evidenced-based interventions from Internal Family Systems and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Certified Yoga Teacher.
