Brian DeLaurentis, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker who practices under the supervision of Martin Schnuit, LCSW-C. He is a graduate of The Catholic University of Americas National Catholic School of Social Service where he received his Masters of Social Work with a clinical concentration. Before Catholic, Brian attended Manhattan College where he earned a bachelors degree in Psychology and competed at a division I level in NCAA athletics. Brian has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with multiple issues including behavioral problems, depression, ADHD, Bipolar, OCD, PTSD, and anxiety.
At NIH, he interned within the Social Work department in conjunction with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Lymphoma, NCI Thoracic MOB and NCI Thoracic Surgery teams, and NCI Head and Trach team. Brian also is comfortable working with all ages of adults with a variety of issues.
Brian focuses on building a strong relationship with clients to help increase trust and comfort for the client to feel open to express anything they are struggling with.
