I have experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety and general distress regarding life transitions. I am especially passionate about providing services to clients who identify as racial and ethnic minorities, young adults, and individuals struggling with mood disorders.
I work from a person-centered theoretical orientation and I incorporate aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based counseling. I prioritize the decolonization of mental health care and encourage clients to discuss their cultural backgrounds, knowing that they are in a judgment free space.
I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process and I prioritize establishing an empathetic relationship to ensure our work is applicable to your specific life events.
