I believe that life is a journey and everybody is just trying to figure out their own course. Each person has their own path and my goal is to walk with you along that path. I am chronically curious and will use that to help you explore where you come from as well as where you want to go. I have experience working with anxiety disorders, major depressive disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, conduct disorders, behavioral ussies, and eating disorders. I work with youth and adults up to 30 years and children age 4-7. I am LGBTQ+ allied and use culturally sensitive practices.
I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy and trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy. I utilized CBT, DBT, and ACT in much of my practice. I take an eclectic approach, utilizing different therapies and skills as it suits each person.
Let's go on this adventure together. I know that starting something new can be scary but I always say that sometimes the scary things are the most worth it. I do my best to provide a safe space for counseling and use too many movie references and weird analogies. I will bring my whole self into each session and encourage each person to do the same.
