“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.” ― Kahlil Gibran ― If you are seeking counseling to discover a better way forward, I am here as supporter and guide but you yourself will be the one who will have all the credit for the growth and improvement made during the process. The client's who get the most out of my services put forth the work and are rewarded by their own progress. And its okay to not know the answers to questions but I'm going to challenge you to find out.
I bring the knowledge of working with children, teens and adults for over a decade to bear in hopes of providing clients the self-discovery and tools for living that they require to move forward in life happily and healthily. I have worked with both children and parents to foster understanding and growth and how to work together to improve the family system.
If it is a choice between crying and laughing while we cry, I will always choose the latter option. Therapy can be hard and sometimes discomforting by its nature. However, with hopeful and well timed humor (usually) I strive to make the heavy moments lighter in my daily practice and life in general. For working with teens please note I am fluent in sarcasm.
