I provide therapeutic services to people who are feeling depressed, isolated, and without goals or motivation. I work with adults of all ages and couples. My particular interest is working with people having difficulties in their current relationships or in finding satisfying relationships, either one on one or within a community. I see people individually, in couples, or within a group setting. My focus of treatment is goal oriented, working with people who either have trouble setting goals, completing goals, or moving on to desirable changes in their lives and life styles.
Some of my work is quite practical with an underlying psychodynamic approach. It may be short term or long term. I feel the therapeutic connection is crucial in this work; although people have different personalities, we work together examining and addressing the issues they struggle with in a collaborative effort.
Together with the client, the course of treatment is evaluated and reviewed regularly. We can identify where things get stuck and adjust goals accordingly. I encourage people to question the work within a safe and caring environment so that they can voice their fears, anger, sadness and anxiety.
