Saying that the last year has been difficult would be an understatement. So much has changed in all spheres of our lives and we wonder if things will ever be back to normal. Add in other typical life challenges and we feel overwhelmed, worried, exhausted and drained. Of particular concern are our children who aren't typically equipped yet with coping skills to manage times like these. The increase in depression and anxiety children are feeling is significant. Because many of them don't know how to verbalize these feelings, they have meltdowns or act out more than normal. You, as the parent, are at your wits end. Sound familiar?
Help and hope are available! For the last 27 years, I have helped children use play to express their thoughts and feelings and learn how to regulate emotions and behavior. I have guided families in learning more effective ways to manage their child's behavior so homes are less stressful using the Love and Logic Parenting Program and TBRI concepts.
