As the child of a Vietnam Veteran with PTSD, I have experienced the long lasting effects of trauma and understand the impact on our heroes and their family members; including First Responders. Untreated trauma, not just Military related, can lead to depression, anxiety, addictions, unhealthy relationships, suicidal thoughts/behaviors, and so much more. Sometimes it can feel like you are alone in the darkness. I will walk with you in the darkness until you find the light again.
I have a Master's in Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I have experience working with Military Service Members and their Families, as well as adults and adolescents with psychiatric and addiction issues. I utilize an eclectic approach to develop an individualized treatment plan for each client.
Therapy is a partnership between the therapist and client that allows for exploration, growth, and learning in a safe place to express your thoughts, beliefs and emotions. Everyone experiences difficult times at some point in life. It is my belief that we all need someone to help us navigate this life, and I am honored to be that someone for you!
