Attempting to cope with a mental health concern is often a lonely and exhausting process. Additionally, pursuing counseling can often be a difficult decision to make, but one that I believe is worthwhile. As a counselor, my role is to help support you through your healing journey and empower you to rediscover your own unique strengths and resources as a means to promote such healing. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment for you to share your own unique life story.
My diverse areas of interest include: survivors of sexual abuse & other traumas, attachment injuries, personality disorders, self-esteem, depression, & anxiety. I enjoy working with individuals and couples from various backgrounds and walks of life. My therapy style is resiliency-focused, genuine, and supportive.
I utilize a strengths based approach to counseling & prefer to work collaboratively to tailor therapy to meet each client's unique needs. I tend to enjoy treatment modalities such as Emotion Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems. I am also trained in EMDR, which is a psychotherapy treatment designed to alleviate distress related to traumatic memories.
