These experiences don't have to be recent; you just want to address them now to free your mind from the thoughts. Anxiety, depression, and trauma therapy is led through multiple therapy types depending on the client. Through a client/provider collaborative relationship we can choose the best practices to address your concerns in the most time-sensitive way possible. My clients are looking to move past the thoughts they feel have been "hounding" them or holding them back.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a commonly used best practice for treating PTSD and trauma-related problems for individuals. Other therapy treatments used include Trauma focused, solution focused, behavioral and psychodynamic. This mix of therapy treatment types assist in coming up with the best therapy application for each individual.
Everyone who seeks therapy has their individual reasons to do so. I will meet you where you are mentally and assist you on your journey to wellness. There isn't always a timeline but we can get you to where you're comfortable moving forward beyond therapy.
