We set goals, timelines, but somehow it never seems to be enough. We get glimpses of happiness, but joy and contentment - that seems to be the mystery. Do you feel like you have fallen out of love? When we feel "resentment" toward others it is an indication that we have betrayed ourselves. Resentment means we did not listen to our instincts. We create a narrative in our heads to validate our betrayal. This narrative makes it impossible to have intimacy. I work with individuals and couples to heal.
When we are not in balance we feel anxious. When we are not being true to who we are we feel depressed. Figuring out how to create a balanced nourished life that is full of connections and vulnerability takes effort and consciousness. People tell us who they are, we just need to listen and set boundaries. There is a difference between nice and kind.
