Bonnie is a Nationally Certified Counselor with experience working with people of all ages and various backgrounds who is focused on creating an inviting and comfortable space for people to share their mental health struggles. Bonnie obtained her master’s degree from Mississippi State University and completed her graduate-level internship conducting group and individual therapy with incarcerated individuals in a residential hospitalization setting with community reintegration programs. She also has experience from graduate school working at an acute care facility for adolescents aged 5-17 years old.
Bonnie focuses on creating a non-judgmental and person-centered approach that focuses on the client and creates an environment for compassion and empathy. Bonnie believes that the strengths of the client are just as important as their struggles and can be used to create a successful therapeutic experience.
She believes that no two clients need the same thing and strives to create an environment that meets the client where they are with the techniques that they need to succeed. She has experience in working with a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, legal issues, and personality disorders.
