Hola, I am Blanca "Janet" Monzon. I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience working in communities of color, in the fields of education, mental health, and community organizing. I’m also a POC, an intersectional feminist, with progressive radical views. Transparency is important to me because I believe that my identities and perspectives inform the way I approach working in mental health. I have experience working with undocumented folks, first gen, and young adults. Hablo Español, English, and Spanglish!
I completed my Master’s in social work at California State University, Long Beach. Currently, I work as a school social worker. I often utilize; relational therapy, strength-based therapy, and feminist therapy theories in my practice centering the client’s experience in the work we do together.
In therapy, my goal is to help clients connect unapologetically to their most authentic selves by providing a non-judgemental space to process their inner thoughts and lived experiences. I believe therapy is a sacred space where deep healing can happen. Everyone deserves their own unique healing journey that leads to more joy, pleasure, and gentleness
