You notice you aren't performing at quite the level you used to. Maybe you're an athlete who's been injured, a first responder who took a tough call, or someone who has experienced adversity that you just can't seem to "get over." You might notice that you're more irritable, not getting restorative sleep, or having trouble taking on challenges that used to excite you. You're ready to get back to being who you used to be, doing things you used to do, sleeping better, and feeling less stressed - and you don't want to have to spend years in therapy to get there.

Hello, My name is Garrett Price. I do not think of people as sick or broken; I refuse to see others through the lens of disease. You are not your diagnosis, you are not your loss, you are not your thoughts, your feelings, or your actions. You are that which is behind your eyes, a wonderful mystery that is having this experience. This experience, or what we sometimes call life, can be hard, and in difficult times it's helpful to have a path or direction. This is the idea of Trailhead; a place to find a welcoming other, to discover new skills, heal the mind, strengthen the soul, and find a way forward.

In an ever-changing world, with so many hardships and challenges, I have dedicated my life to helping people make sense out of their struggles and to find more peace. I believe in people, and I believe that in a safe and supportive environment, with a skillful and responsible guide, people are capable of incredible accomplishments, leading to changes that enable more peace and joyful living. I believe that people develop maladaptive patterns of living and relating and that sometimes simple changes in habits, thinking, growing and understanding, can lead to happier, healthier lives and relationships. I'd be happy to receive your call

It is common for people to say therapy hasn’t helped much and in many cases has even made things worse. Understandably, this increases people’s fear and doubt about therapy being able to help them. I find that most therapy is ineffective and most therapist are poorly trained. Because of this, I have been deeply committed to becoming a much better therapist providing the most modern and effective therapeutic approaches. The people I work with regularly report more significant energy, relief, and sense of lightness. They also tend to share that the process was quick, effective, and enjoyable. Visit my website for more details

Biofeedback Therapists

Can biofeedback help with anxiety?

Biofeedback is often used to treat anxiety, including generalized anxiety disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. Anecdotal evidence and some research studies have found that it can improve symptoms of these disorders, sometimes significantly; however, studies on biofeedback have typically been small and researchers have cautioned that many have significant limitations, such as limited follow-up or a lack of a control group.

Is biofeedback evidence-based?

There is some evidence that biofeedback can effectively treat certain conditions; for example, its efficacy in treating headaches and urinary incontinence is generally thought to be well-established. There is also promising, but less conclusive, evidence that it can aid in stroke recovery or help someone manage a mental health disorder such as anxiety, depression, or ADHD.

What is the difference between biofeedback and neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback that measures brain activity specifically; it is typically used to treat psychological or neurodevelopmental concerns such as ADHD, depression, insomnia, or autism spectrum disorder. Biofeedback is a broader category that, in addition to neurofeedback, also includes electromyogram, heart rate variability, and thermal biofeedback, each of which measures a particular physiological function (muscle activity, heart rate, and skin temperature, respectively)

What are the limitations of biofeedback?

While biofeedback may be helpful for certain conditions, its efficacy is less assured for others, such as high blood pressure. People with certain health conditions such as heart arrhythmia may not be able to benefit from biofeedback because their condition may interfere with the machines’ readings. Biofeedback can also be time-consuming and costly, and may not be covered by health insurance.
