Clients I typically work with have experienced childhood trauma, and as a result suffer from depression, anxiety, poor relationships, and low self-esteem. Their needs include learning how to name and process the traumas they have experienced, how these traumas are affecting them today, and what to do to feel safe, at peace, and to enjoy healthy relationships. Their goals typically include understanding and learning from their past, and improving relationships and day to day interactions with self and others.
I have worked with children, teens, adults, families, and parents for the past 14 years in group homes, foster homes, schools, as well as with individuals and families in their homes. I am experienced in dealing with trauma and emotional abuse. I use attachment therapy to help clients rebuild the way they interact with themselves, others, and the world.
During the week I work at a non profit agency where I supervise AMFTs working with traumatized youth. This is the same agency I have worked with for the last 14 years, helping children and families who have experienced trauma.
