I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 35 years of practice working with adolescents and adults who experience challenges with depression, anxiety, relationship issues and life transitions. I value the vital role of trust and the therapeutic relationship in the process of healing and personal growth. My aim is to help individuals become more aware of those thoughts and emotions that underlie their distress. With new insights, unhelpful emotional and behavioral patterns can change, opening up new ways of experiencing oneself and others.
I am an experienced clinician who has worked with clients in private practice, as an EAP professional and as part of an outpatient mental health practice at the University of Rochester Medical Center. My clinical approach is client-centered and informed by my background in psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness practice.
I truly value and enjoy working with a diverse range of clients. I strive to develop and maintain a therapeutic collaboration based on respect, empathy, caring and trust. I hope to help my clients identify their strengths order to foster continued growth and development.
