My goal as a therapist is to work along side with you; helping you acknowledge and embrace your own feelings, and to help you heal inside out. Either we grew up in functional or dysfunctional families, we all have been affected in one way or another by our surroundings, care givers and other people in our lives, and as a result of that we find ourselves dealing with some difficult feelings that make no sense to us, those can be depression, anxiety, dissociation, etc. that are preventing us from being fully present and using our full potential in life. We can heal by learning to acknowledge and embrace our feelings.
I specialize in complex trauma. I use trauma informed, strength base approach, have been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Trauma Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and IFS informed.
Traumatic events leave behind a legacy of symptoms that we can decrease and heal to be able to be fully present and able to cope with adversity appropriately. I would love to partner with you in your healing journey.
