I am a licensed clinical psychologist in New York City. I have been practicing for over 30 years. I work in an insight oriented and supportive therapeutic environment concentrating on ego functioning and interpersonal relationships. I deal with issues of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, mood regulation and the management of emotions and conflict. My therapeutic goal is to help each patient to develop more self-awareness and insight so that they can make better choices and achieve more personal satisfaction - while decreasing the anxiety and conflicts that limit their daily emotional experience and self-confidence.
I specialize with adolescents, young adults and adults who seek to better understand themselves and acheive greater knowledge of their psychological make-up and how it affects their lives. I see children for play psychotherapy and do parent and family counseling. I also enjoy working with couples for couples therapy and am a nursery school consultant.
I love the work of psychotherapy. My clients connect with me quite easily and become more and more committed to their treatment. I see great growth in my patients and encourage them to continue to explore their conflicts, strengths and weakness in a meaningful way. I try to develop a sense of trust and mutual respect with each client in a supportive setting.
