Do you feel inundated with self-critical thoughts, or perhaps you experience a sense of emptiness and separateness? Unfortunately, we often learn from an early age to ignore our feelings and our bodies, which leads us to feel a lingering sense of shame, disconnection from others, and even physical pain and illness.
I offer a type of therapy which works with the connection between mind and body. It helps individuals nonjudgmentally observe their avoidance of complicated emotions that are triggered in relationships. Then, through a safe and attuned therapeutic relationship, we regulate anxiety together and access and feel what previously might have felt too scary.
As a result of treatment, clients often find that they understand themselves better, feel more comfortable with themselves and others, and experience less pain and illness in the body.
