Life has ups and downs, but when mood, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, insecurities and/or self-esteem issues begin to feel unmanageable, therapy can help. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and I've been practicing for 15+ years in New York. I have training and education in treating a full range of mental health concerns with special interest working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community.
Most people come to therapy with heightened emotional distress. They've tried many things to feel better, but their pain persists. I start by meeting clients where they are, creating space for honest exploration of thoughts and feelings, and then working to identify priorities for therapy. I view therapy as a collaborative process.
I hope that clients can feel a reduction in their distress and an increase in their sense of possibilities that often comes with increased insight. Together we will work to reduce any immediate distress, and then we will make room to create and sustain change to allow you to live your best life.
