For over 37 years I've helped individuals heal from trauma, overcome addiction, and cultivate resilience. I have worked extensively in mental health and addiction recovery settings, including hospitals, community centers, schools, and private practice. With a deep understanding of the complexities of trauma, I specialize in treating individuals who have experienced abuse, domestic violence, and PTSD. I will skillfully utilize EMDR therapy, a highly effective approach to address traumatic memories and to promote healing.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in an informed approach to Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. Through mindful exploration of coping mechanisms, I guide clients in developing self-compassion, self-leadership, and resilience. In addition to trauma work, I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
My empathetic nature and extensive experience create a safe space for personal growth and transformation. Raised in Northwest Ohio, my love for the outdoors blossomed early. I spent my youth sailing on Indian Lake and cycling with the Lima Roadrunners Club and formed a deep bond with a horse named Joey.
