People who are motivated to secure change in their lives are my ideal clients. We all get stuck but if we stay focused on the problem we will stay stuck. My goal is to move from problem to solution. Whether struggling with depression, anxiety, family issues or just trying to be our best selves in this extremely challenging environment we can all use support and help. Sometimes just verbalizing the issues to a non-judgmental professional allows the client to recognize that they are stuck and motivates them to make changes with the support and guidance that I as a therapist can provide.
I am a strong believer in solution-focused therapy. There is no one-size-fits-all modality, so I am eclectic in my approach. In Disaster Mental Health I assisted people in immediate crisis That same approach also works with people "stuck" in every day life issues. I provide a non-judgmental, positive experience in a safe, healthy, nurturing environment.
Using a blend of specific coping skills, I can help you find ways to deal with things we can't control. We can't change the world, but we can change how we perceive and react to challenges. Since no one can go back and make a new beginning, we can start from now to make a new ending. If the world is truly round then what is the end is also the beginning.
