I enjoy working with clients in a variety of formats,including individually,couples,families and children. I am trained in EMDR and play therapy. Most recently I have been trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART uses imagery rescripting and memory reconsolidation to alter negative emotions and sensations associated with pain or trauma,in as few as 1-5 sessions. I have experience helping clients with a variety of issues such as depression,anxiety,marriage,self-esteem and divorce.
I believe the counseling relationship is a process in which you,the client and I the counselor,have come to understand and trust one another,work as a team to explore and define problems,develop goals and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing those goals.
I am married,the mother of two adult children and the grandmother of two. I enjoy spending time with my family,reading and taking road trips with my husband.
