My approach to therapy is holistic and addresses mind, body, and spirit as essential, interwoven aspects of who we are. Through my years of practice, I've learned to integrate various somatic and mindfulness modalities into sessions because they go beyond strictly talk therapy in helping calm the nervous system, reduce the effects of trauma and overwhelm, foster new perspectives, and create a healthier relationship with the body. The result is greater resilience, self-compassion, fulfillment, empowerment, and joy. EFT Tapping and Embodied Mindfulness are two modalities that I use & teach so that clients have tools to use at home.
EMDR is another very effective treatment I use for addressing trauma and other disturbing experiences. EMDR pairs bilateral eye movement and body tapping with challenging memories, beliefs, and distressing emotional symptoms. The EMDR process reduces distress and organically leads to new, more adaptive perspectives and helpful insights.
I welcome clients ages 16 to elder-hood from all spiritual persuasions, racial and ethnic/cultural backgrounds, & sexual orientations. If you feel drawn to how I approach therapy, send me a message via text, email, or voicemail so we can arrange a 15-20 minute chat about what brings you to therapy, and assess if our availability matches up.
