Welcome. If you or a loved one are feeling down, sad, anxious, or maybe concerned that you are drinking too much or about drug use, marital issues, or are just going through a difficult stretch and want someone to help sort it through, I provide individual, couple, or family therapy for adults and adolescents. My goal is to explore your concerns, identify strengths, and use a combination of evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy strategies, compassion, and insight to help you achieve your goals and improve your quality of life. We will focus on resolution of current symptoms, and understanding the big picture.
I am a seasoned psychologist with a clinical & academic career in NIH-funded Cognitive Behavioral treatment research and teaching. I help people to get relief from depression and anxiety, get unstuck, improve relationships, and examine & stop or reduce drinking and/or drug use. I have a strong sub-specialty in helping women with drinking and mood concerns.
I provide a supportive, intelligent space to understand factors leading to and maintaining symptoms, and evidence-based strategies to help alleviate distress, build on strengths, and live the life you envision. Please call or email to discuss your concerns and therapy goals. I am licensed in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey.
