From the outside it looks like things are going well, but you know that isn’t the whole story. Inside you're struggling with worry and feelings of unease and insecurity. Maybe you feel sad or on edge, and can’t focus on the things you love. Perhaps it feels like the world is caving in on you as others look on. These are just a few symptoms that are familiar to clients who seek therapy with me. Although I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients, I specialize in working with young adults who struggle with traumatic memories, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and low self-esteem.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma. When providing therapy, I use an integrative approach to treatment that incorporates modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Mindfulness to help you achieve your goals.
I believe in a warm, collaborative, and encouraging approach to therapy. While I bring my experience and therapeutic expertise to sessions, the focus of treatment is largely client determined. Together we will develop your goals and objectives for therapy, with a focus towards the change you desire.
