People are FASCINATING! Day-to-day we come into contact with people who have weathered unimaginable challenges, people who have been knocked down, people who have been hurt, people who have hurt others; and yet we just move along! I believe there is power in a pause. It has been a great privilege to accompany, witness, and pause with people in their struggles and their efforts to change over the past 10 years. I am adept at working with people who experience depression, anxiety, PTSD, mood disorders, drug abuse, etc. I strive to meet clients where they are and collaboratively develop a plan that feels right for them.
I offer a client centered goal directed approach to therapy. My therapuetic approach is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and I have recently completed training for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) working towards a Level 1 certification.
One of my favorite quotes is 'Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. Be Kind.'. I am able to create a safe space for individuals and couples as they navigate those challenges in their lives.
