I believe that therapy unfolds differently for everyone. Where for some, the process is about acknowledging painful aspects of life, for others it is about developing coping skills so that the painful aspects of life cease to be so overwhelming. Because of this variation, I offer a therapy relationship that is open and attentive. I balance being empathic and challenging, because ultimately good therapy is about feeling supported in making positive life changes.
In 2012 I completed an advanced fellowship in psychodynamic psychotherapy at Harvard Medical School. In 2013 I completed a certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at Boston University. I am also certified in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples therapy. My office is in downtown Northampton, MA.
