How do we make sense of our experiences and emotions? How do we fill in the gaps of understanding between the occurrences in our lives and the resulting impact on our hearts? I believe our narratives, or the stories that we tell ourselves about who we are, are complex and often interwoven with our trauma, pain, heartbreak, and insecurities. I believe in meeting my clients where they are, ensuring a safe space in which they know they are not alone, and providing a guiding light and source of compassion, empathy, validation, and support as they work to understand their narratives from the past, re-claim a sense of empowerment in the present, and re-author their stories for the future.
I aim to provide each of my clients with unconditional warmth, empathy, and validation. My hope is that, through counseling, clients will not only build their self-awareness and feel an empowered sense of belonging in their lives; they will additionally increase their ability to engage with themselves and others from a place of compassion and worthiness.
