Engaging in personal exploration through therapy, though occasionally fraught with pain and difficulty, yields profound insights into our deepest fears and desires. I practice from a psychoanalytic perspective, helping my patients understand how their past experiences shape their current lives. This depth-oriented approach fosters profound insight and long-lasting change. I also incorporate other modalities such as DBT, when indicated. I strike a balance between being empathically confrontational and validating.
This approach ensures that my patients feel understood and supported while also being challenged to grow. I have trained at numerous outpatient and inpatient sites, including The New York Psychoanalytic Institute and Mount Sinai Hospital.
