My name is Bart Ozretich and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Washington. I am also designated as an Ethnic Minority Mental Health Specialist. My passion and strength is working with diverse individuals. I offer an eclectic approach to mental health - grounded in evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and a Humanistic, Person-Centered approach. My focus is on finding a mindful path through difficult times and experiences in collaboration with clients.
In particular, my emphasis is on connecting with clients through attentive listening, non-judgmental guidance, and compassionate challenging of fixed patterns and behaviors. As the parent of two multi-ethnic, multi-racial children, my own experience greatly influences and informs my approach to working with others.
For example, I can relate to the difficulty of finding work, life, and family balance. And, I appreciate the challenge of raising caring and compassionate children in a confusing, ever-changing world. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress, and life transitions of all kinds.
