Life is often stressful, now so more than ever. The decision to begin therapy is a positive step, but finding the right therapist can be difficult. While we all seek to uncover and understand the sources of our problems, we also need concrete ideas for how to improve our lives. At various times in life we experience different issues, including anxiety, depression, damaged relationships, or a loss of direction. I utilize a flexible, integrative and interactive approach that is tailored to the client’s individual needs, goals, and expectations, and focuses on solutions.
I have trained in several major hospitals, and have worked with a diverse population of adults dealing with various psychiatric difficulties. I have extensive training and expertise in assessment and diagnosis of a wide range of presenting problems. Accurate assessment, diagnosis, and understanding of a client’s issues is essential to progress in therapy.
I completed my doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, with training at Elmhurst Hospital, New York University, and Bellevue Hospital, and I completed a post-doctoral Fellowship at Bellevue Hospital Center. I have also been an adjunct professor at New York University and the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology.
