I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and panic disorders and mild to moderate OCD, as well as trauma and depression. My experience tells me that these conditions are highly treatable with the right approach. My primary method is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is a proven evidence based treatment for these problems. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Cognitive Processing Therapy for the treatment of trauma. My style is direct, supportive and goal oriented with emphasis on what the client wants to work on. I use humor as well!
I work with both adults and children. In the treatment of children I believe that the parent is an important partner in the therapy. I am trained in the use of sand tray and play therapy with children. My goal is to give my clients the skills and tools to better understand and manage their anxiety in under 8 sessions.
I can do counseling through telehealth as well as face to face, but in some cases face to face may be a better choice. My primary office is located in the Crescent Hill area in the Frankfort Ave vicinity I have some evening hours as well as daytime hours. I am semi retired and limit the number of clients I see,
