Life isn't always easy and often presents us with difficult challenges. I believe a courageous person enters the therapeutic door to begin the counseling process. As a social worker with over 20 years experience, I am here to help you find meaningful solutions to those challenges. My practice focuses on children and adults and I work with individuals, couples, and families. I believe that each of us has the innate ability to heal ourselves. My role is to help you discover that healing strength so that you can live life to it's fullest potential.
I provide a caring, non-judgmental, interactive, collaborative approach tailored to your needs. I am not the kind of therapist that sits silently and occasionally nods. I am interactive, respectfully listening as you share your personal difficulties and pain. I am engaged and give you appropriate feedback.
I have extensive experience counseling both children and adults. I've worked at a state mental health facility, a preschool to 8th grade school setting as well as a private practice. I have studied deaf culture and have a special interest in disabilities.
