I specialize in working with individuals with anxiety and depression symptoms. I am a trauma informed therapist who uses the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) approach. As a previous school guidance counselor, I have experience providing counseling to teens and their families. I have a peaked interest in psychoeducation; including but not limited to, coping skills, boundary setting, attachment styles, locus of control, self-esteem, cognitive distortions, core belief work and much more.
I will work alongside you as we collectively build a strong therapeutic alliance. I will create a safe space and meet you where you are on your path to healing. I will support you as you refine and maintain the skills needed to reintegrate successfully back into doing the things that you enjoy.
What you can expect: Clients will learn resilience (the ability to bounce back), hope, healing, mindfulness, self-regulation, and the importance of self-care. Through this you will decrease these overwhelming symptoms of anxiety and depression and get to feeling like you again.
