I have been in the field of therapy/psychology for 30 years. I treat behavioral and mental health issues with an eclectic approach. One of my greatest passions has been the privilege of helping those who suffer find their way to healing, even after experiencing debilitating events and surviving unimaginable challenges. My primary focus is emotional health and well-being by utilizing the Whole Person Concept. This enables clients to make great stride in personal transformation and gains in self-esteem, improvement in the quality of their life at work, in intimate relationships and with family, friends and overcome social anxiety. By utilizing the bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach and traditional cognitive behavioral therapy in helping to reframe the presenting problem, we discover new possibilities to cope with life stressors. This process may include Jungian psychology, dream analysis, creative visualization, mindfulness meditation and Art.

I am a graduate of the University of Arizona where I earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master’s degree in Counseling with an emphasis in mental health and rehabilitation counseling. I have thirty-five years of professional experience with in-patient and outpatient settings. I served as clinical director for a behavioral health program in a state-wide agency for 19 years, was adjunct faculty/family therapy supervisor at the University of Arizona in the psychology department for 11 years, and a family therapy seminar lecturer in the department of psychiatry for seven years. I have presented at local, state,and national conferences as well as consulted and trained for multiple private and state agencies. I specialize in child and family therapy as well as adult and marital/couples issues.

For 15 years, I have successfully worked with people to gain insight and create positive patterns of behavior to repair broken relationships, heal from past abuse/trauma, overcome addiction of all kinds, break free from anxiety and depression, and achieve greater life satisfaction.
