My strength is an honest approach so that people know that I am being genuine with them and that I amwith them in the moment. I help people to find out what gets in the way of them being effective in everyday life and help them look to a healthier future. I believe that everyone has the power in themselves to change, and that everyone needs help sometimes to keep moving forward.

As a therapist, my goal is to work with each client to understand their goals for the therapeutic experience. Whether this is to alleviate symptoms of a mental health disorder, adjust to a life transition, explore reoccurring themes, improve self esteem or to simply increase the quality of life, my approach is rooted in a combination of authentic human connection and evidenced based practice. I am truly passionate about the work that I do and am committed to supporting my clients holistically both in and outside of sessions. I am trained in EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, EXRP and EFT.

I thrive working with clients learning to understand and heal from addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, church hurt, individuals questioning sexuality, persons working through career transitions, and couples navigating how to communicate and deepen emotional and physical intimacy. My aim is to provide a space where you can connect with yourself, feel accepted, whole, and human, and a place where you can learn to thrive again.

I am a Meaning-Centered counselor in Phoenix, Arizona with over 8 years of experience working in behavioral health. Today, more people come into therapy expressing feelings of emptiness and wondering does life have any meaning? What really makes life worth living? Is it all just meaningless suffering?

During my experience as a Professional Counselor I have found that many people find comfort in my calming nature and my ability to explain and practice therapeutic techniques to reduce emotional discomfort such as anxiety, depression, frustration with focus, family or communication issues. My model - The Nightingale Model for the Treatment of Trauma - is an eclectic approach which combines Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) with Hypnotherapy. This process puts you at the center with the ultimate goal of empowering you to take back control of your life. All approaches are unique based on something I call a Shared Action Plan (SAP).
