I am a trauma healing specialist. I work with individuals that have difficulty balancing their nervous system due to a breach of relationship, tissue trauma, preverbal, in utero, birth trauma, and other long term complex trauma issues. I help restore the body, mind, and spirit...or cranial brain, heart brain, and gut brain to optimum function and nervous system balance by using the resilience and survival mechanisms of the individual.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a private practice located off the 101 and Shea Blvd. I belong to the American Counseling Association (ACA), American Christian Counseling Association (AACC) and a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). I served on the Board of the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (2013-2019), and as Chairman from (2014-2016, 2017-2018). I was also on the Behavioral Health Rules Subcommittee, Personnel Subcommittee and Counseling Credentialing Committees. I currently volunteer at Scottsdale Bible Church and am an Adjunct Professor at Phoenix Seminary teaching Ethics.

My therapy practice is dedicated to helping TEENS, COLLEGE AGE STUDENTS and YOUNG ADULTS through challenging times in their lives. This stage in life is such an important time in one’s development and it is easy to become overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed with all that life is throwing at you. I have worked with teens and young adults for over twenty years, and now as a trauma therapist I find there is a greater need than ever to give teens and young adults the coping skills needed to deal with the challenges and stressors they are facing on a daily basis. In my work, I see conflict and communication as the driving force for needing support. I believe that every conflict offers an opportunity to be deeply seen and understood by our partner, friends, or family. In my practice, I lead with the Gottman method for couples, which integrates research-based interventions to help those that are experiencing issues such as lack of intimacy, sex, commitment issues, infidelity, betrayal, lack of friendship, loss of trust, money issues, communication issues, parenting, etc. This approach is equally applicable to working with families and individuals as well.
