I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Enso Counseling, LLC. I specialize in treating adults with anxiety disorders (e.g., obsessive-compulsive, phobias, panic, trauma, social anxiety) and depression. I do psychotherapy the way I'd like to receive it; I use a Rogerian client-centered, empathetic stance with unconditional positive regard. I modify my approach depending on each individual's needs (e.g., CBT or more directive when requested by clients). I also treat impression management (e.g, acting like a "chameleon").

My approach to doing psychotherapy is a contemporary psychoanalytic approach. This approach is a form of psychotherapy which helps patients heal through the safe, mutual exploration of previous life experiences and current life circumstances. More importantly, transformation in psychoanalytic therapy occurs through the participation by the patient in a relationship with the therapist in which the two partners, through their mutual exploration of life history, relationships, and the here-and-now experience of relating in therapy, come to help patients heal wounds, know themselves better, and lead healthier and more satisfying lives.
