I am an empathic and caring psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience in the integrative health care and academic settings, nationally and internationally. I believe that therapy is a site of self-inquiry, where one has the opportunity to develop resiliency to overcome barriers to psychological growth. I am committed to helping my clients sort through their issues, find their voices, develop skills, and achieve goals.

Life can be hard and that is part of the reality that comes with being human. But sometimes even our best effort to move past difficulty falls short. And when our stories do not get listened to or honored, it can create a deep sense of aloneness. Therapy is a relationship where we collaborate to listen to you, the client, in order to find solutions within the particularity of your own story. Hello & welcome! Clients find me open-minded, supportive, and able to help them find the solutions needed to make positive change. Teens, young adults, women, and families who benefit from working with me are interested in improving communication skills, working past negative patterns, and trauma to identifying new life goals. My therapeutic approach is an interweaving of strengths-based, solution-focused, and family-systems modalities. I often tell my clients, “you are the expert on your own life,” which means that I will work with you to identify ways to create the life you want - where your actions support your aspirations.

Humans are resilient and have an innate ability to heal. My goal is to meet you where you are currently at and build the therapeutic rapport necessary to assist you in your process of learning, growing and changing your circumstances by challenging things that no longer serve you. I provide a safe space, free of judgement, so you can show up authentically. We will work together to achieve your therapeutic goals by utilizing a variety of modalities, customized to your individual needs, with a strengths-based approach.

I primarily work with narcissistic abuse survivors as well as empaths and HSP's (which are typically targeted by narcs). I also work with couples who feel they are in toxic dynamics and feel stuck. This life is hard but having someone who you can talk to is so helpful and I communicate with my clients, not stare at you and expect you to do all talking! I promise you that even when it feels like you just can't do it anymore.. you really can! I personally have experienced much of life's hardships but I'm grateful for that because it gave me the opportunity to help so many others!

I use a sensorimotor psychotherapy approach to create awareness on many levels; cognitive, emotional, and physical. I will guide you in learning the tools to self regulate, feel your strength, and carry out your unique destiny.
