Everyone experiences trauma in their life at one time or another, some experience more than others. Traumatized individuals often seek alternative solutions to deal with the discomfort of a traumatic event. The alternative solution is often dysfunctional and can result in suppressed emotional and psychological pain associated with the event. Someone who sufferers from suppressed issue wants relief. My approach to therapy is an integration of a Christian worldview using biblical truths combined with proven therapies to confront and heal the wounds from trauma that impacts your life today. She is a licensed professional counselor specializing in treating complex trauma in first responders, adults and attachment trauma in children, adolescents as well as other co-occurring disorders. She earned a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling with a specialization in Trauma, Abuse and Deprivation from Ottawa University and a Master's degree in Psychology.

Dr. Ami Owen received her undergraduate degree in Social Science/Psychology. She received her Master’s in Family Therapy with an advanced emphasis on families and trauma. Dr. Owen also received a Doctorate in Counseling and is a Clinically Certified Trauma Professional. She is Licensed in TX, ID, WA, AZ, FL, CA, UT and a nationally approved supervisor through the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT). She takes delight in mentoring therapists on the complexities of family systems and consults with providers across the country to improve systems approaches.

I primarily work with narcissistic abuse survivors as well as empaths and HSP's (which are typically targeted by narcs). I also work with couples who feel they are in toxic dynamics and feel stuck. This life is hard but having someone who you can talk to is so helpful and I communicate with my clients, not stare at you and expect you to do all talking! I promise you that even when it feels like you just can't do it anymore.. you really can! I personally have experienced much of life's hardships but I'm grateful for that because it gave me the opportunity to help so many others!

Claudia earned her Master Degree in Counseling at Arizona State University. Claudia is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with adolescents and young adults. Claudia is also a certified trauma therapist and provides a safe, nonjudgmental approach that foster encouragement that promotes change. She utilizes evidenced based treatment to help her clients achieve her potential. Claudia respects each clients values and beliefs. She is able to provide a safe space to talk while not compromising your religious beliefs.
