This is not a job it’s a life purpose.
My ideal client is someone who is willing to try and not perfect. I feel everyone has a story to tell and I love listening to people and learning about them as well as developing a plan. I tend to pivot and figure out what each client needs not what I want to do. I am trained in most cutting edge modalities so I like to give you the chance to see and try different tools. I love doing some experiential components. I work a lot with anxiety/depression and PTSD which are often the symptoms which often unravel other things.

Hello, I’m Carlyn (pronouns she/her) I believe love and belonging are at the core of who we are and how we connect with others. My experience as a mother of three has helped me understand how attachment plays an important role in how we develop. Our early attachments, trauma, and life experiences can create incredible discomfort and we learn ways to cope and survive, that are not always helpful. Some people think that going to therapy is about getting advice from someone, but our job is to help you learn to trust yourself. My goal as a therapist is to be accepting, non-judgmental, and help to create a safe space for you to grow.

I am comfortable working with any age and diagnosis, but I specialize in working with adults in a transition (divorce, marriage, parenthood, career change, etc.
Hello, my name is Rosemary Martinez and I'm a licensed professional counselor in Arizona. I specialize in helping people work through and heal from past trauma that has impacted their daily lives. I use modalities such as CBT, EMDR, and DBT to reprocess and heal the entire person. I hope to have the opportunity to help you. I try to get the whole picture of the person I'm working with. I don't just want to know the trauma I want to understand how it is impacting your daily living and how we can work together to improve that. I use modalities such as CBT, EMDR, and DBT among others, to treat the person, not the diagnosis.

Youth and adults who come to me often struggle with social-emotional and behavioral issues affecting academic progress, job functioning, peer/family relationships and self-image. These issues are often rooted in family conflict, identity confusion and trauma and can lead to more serious issues of anxiety and depression. As an interventionist, I will first help you resolve interpersonal conflicts and move outward to address family relational, social, academic, cultural and spiritual functioning.

We all experience life in a different way. This may include how we are raised, what we observe and how we experience it. Although, we are human, our perspectives are different. With that being said, counseling may be beneficial in addressing problems we are currently facing or issues that have been persistent for years. Counseling provides a safe non-judgment environment with guidance to explore the root cause to the presenting problem. A goal would be working towards a greater well-being. With that come self-awareness, self-compassion, self-kindness, self-care, and most importantly self-love.

Are your children displaying challenges with emotions, relating to others or adjusting to a school environment? Difficulty regulating emotions and impulsive behaviors can negatively affect the way we interact with others, causing difficulties in building those relationships we need to thrive. I primarily work with children and teens with an emphasis on Autism, development delays, ADHD and anxiety and the impact on daily functioning and fully enjoying life. I have seen how trauma negatively affects normal childhood development and have been trained in EMDR for children to help free them from a burden and pain they don’t understand.

My passion is to help clients help themselves. I assist individuals (young adults & working professionals) who need help with managing their life changes, anxiety, depression, coping skills, creating boundaries, family dynamics and more. Life is not meant to be walked through alone. Together we will create healthy, achievable goals that allow you to grow towards being the best version of yourself. Whatever your goals might be, we can come up with steps to achieve them. This might look like learning anxiety reduction techniques, setting boundaries with family members, or even helping you get to a "new normal" after a big life event.

Career Counseling Therapists

How do I know if I need career counseling?

Determining whether a career counselor is needed involves assessing one's current career and identifying what changes can be made to improve one's overall quality of life. In particular, feelings of loss of motivation, fatigue, anxiety, depression, procrastination, or ongoing levels of high stress can all be indicative of a need for career-related counseling. In addition, individuals changing jobs may want the decision-making support or self-reflection opportunities provided by a career counselor.

Who can benefit from career counseling?

Anyone can benefit from the self-reflection, skill development, and stress management techniques that career counseling can provide. However, individuals who are feeling overwhelmed or burnt out with their current job and individuals considering a major career change may particularly benefit from career counseling to improve their wellbeing. Additionally, individuals who are facing issues in their current job, such as coworker relationship challenges or not meeting performance goals, may benefit from the perspective that a career counselor can provide. College-age or young professionals may also uniquely benefit from career counseling as they make key decisions surrounding education and job training that will impact their career trajectory.

How long does career counseling typically last?

The length of career counseling can vary greatly depending on the needs of the individual and what type of support they are seeking. Career coaching or advising services—which serve clients in a specific, goal-oriented capacity—often last for a shorter duration and are sometimes only a single session or a few sessions in length. In contrast, career counseling as part of a more integrative therapeutic relationship with a counselor may last longer, particularly if the issues faced by the client are longstanding and/or more complex in nature; in such cases, individuals may expect therapy to last multiple months or longer.

How to prepare for career counseling?

Clients can prepare for career counseling sessions by outlining the specific topics they would like to address with the counselor, such as current job challenges or hopes for the future of their career. Compiling one's thoughts on such topics often requires reflection on one's career and future goals, which in itself can be beneficial for session preparation. Clients may also want to put together a list of questions they would like to ask the counselor, particularly if the career counselor they are seeing has particular expertise in a given career area. Conducting research into potential future jobs, training opportunities, or support resources in one's area may also help clients prepare for career counseling by providing them with a background of what resources are available in their area.
