My name is Kris Godinez, LPC. Counseling is a journey a journey that can and frankly should have a healthy dose of humor in it! If you are looking for one of those "blank screen" counselors that do and say. nothing, I'm not that kind of counselor. Yes counseling is serious business, but it does not have to be dull. I find that when people are laughing and learning they tend to retain what they have learned. I use CBT and a lot of humor! Joel earned his Master's in Social Work from Arizona State University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Joel has been practicing in the field for 10 years. Joel completed a 2 year counseling residency where he was extensively trained in CBT, DBT, ACT, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Gottman Couple's Therapy and in treating personality disorders. Joel also led DBT skills training group therapy for nearly 2 years during his residency. Since, he has been trained in Level 1 and 2 of EMDR. Joel has worked with substance related issues for the duration of his practice.

I have an extensive background working with SMI clients and work well with clients diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. I also appreciate working with clients who are of Native American background and I am very knowledgeable of the culture of the Akimel O'odham people. I also utilize integrated therapies such as DBT, CBT and Existential therapy when working with those experiencing grief and loss and seek to assist clients experiencing bereavement. Dr. Littleford was raised in Minnesota and graduated from Bethel College in St. Paul in 1978. All of his graduate coursework was taken at Texas Tech University, and he earned a doctorate in counseling psychology in 1986. The dissertation was based upon research with widowed persons, and his graduate minor was marital and family therapy. His internship was at the Tucson Veterans Administration Medical Center. He is licensed to practice psychology in the states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. The primary clinical orientation of Dr. Littleford is cognitive-behavioral therapy, with strong influences from Adlerian psychology.
