I work with individuals experiencing anxiety and those navigating their fertility journey, including infertility, prenatal and postpartum experiences, as well as healing from trauma and PTSD. These journeys can often be emotionally messy and complex, with their own unique moments of joy and grief. Our work together will focus on understanding where you currently are in your journey, where you are headed, and the bumps that happen along the way.

You want to experience that love and connection that you used to, and feel healthy and loved in meaningful way. It feels like you're losing hope of a fulfilling future in your relationship. I see you. Come sit with me, and let's explore it. Zero judgment and open arms here. Let's get started.

As we navigate pregnancy, birth, and parenthood, we are often challenged. Struggling with infertility. Feeling fearful as we prepare for our upcoming birth. Looking for a safe place to process birth trauma. Experiencing postpartum depression/anxiety. Difficulties adjusting to change. Seeking resolution about the past so we can be the kind of parents we want to be. Yearning to parent differently than we were raised, but not sure how. I will absolutely challenge you to do the work in these areas. And I will also be there to support you as you prioritize yourself and watch the rest of the pieces fall into place.

Are you a mother or woman feeling blindsided by a life phase you thought you'd enjoy? Feeling overwhelmed, caught off guard and unsupported wasn't part of the plan. You thought this phase of your life would bring you closer to your loved ones, but you feel distant and not like the person you used to be. The pressure to meet societal expectations is making it more difficult. Or maybe the profound grief of pregnancy loss left you feeling isolated and heartbroken, as you grapple with the pain and try to move forward. The good news - this isn't who you are now. What you are experiencing are symptoms of the situation you are in.

Are you feeling lost or disconnected in your relationship? Communication problems, trust issues from infidelity, constant arguing, or emotional distance can make any relationship feel tough. Many couples face these challenges, but the usual therapy options can sometimes feel too clinical or impersonal. Imagine creating a partnership where you feel safe, connected, and truly understood. Therapy should help you reconnect, rediscover your love, and improve every aspect of your relationship, from intimacy to managing finances, parenting, and more.

Therapy is about becoming more aware of who you are and how you influence your surroundings. Individuals come to therapy when the ways in which they are behaving, living, and acting in life are no longer working for them. Various circumstances can cause distress and require that we seek assistance to help adjust to something new. I believe that therapy is an opportunity to grow and change when we feel stuck, it is a creative outlet to find solutions to help live life more fully.

Motherhood is no joke! It can be lonely, scary, and overwhelming. One day leads to another and you’re exhausted, frustrated, and on edge. Scary thoughts never let up and leave you feeling like a bad mom. Everything is hard and no one seems to understand. People say annoying things like, "Enjoy every moment!" You wish you could enjoy life, but it's just not that easy. The loneliness, anger, resentment, and guilt make everything harder and you're in survival mode. You might feel like you've lost your sense of self and wonder if you will ever feel like "you" again. The answer is YES! You're not alone. I understand, and I can help.

Infertility Therapists

How can infertility affect couples and their relationship?

Clients who are dealing with infertility may experience conflict and communication problems. It’s not unusual for shame, blame, and guilt to arise in cases of infertility, whether the source of the problem is one partner or both. This means that clients are upset and pulling away from their partner just when they need them the most. Some clients may find it difficult to spend time around friends and family who are pregnant. Friends and family can also make hurtful comments that increase tension during this time.

How does therapy for infertility issues work?

The therapist will begin by gathering information about the client or couple and make a treatment plan for their specific concerns. In addition to addressing common mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma reactions or PTSD, therapists can help clients improve their decision-making and deal with stressors unique to infertility. Some examples include coping with the “two-week wait” before a pregnancy test, the distress associated with a failed attempt or miscarriage, and the shame and blame sometimes associated with reproductive concerns.

What type of therapy is best for infertility issues?

Many therapists offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples who are dealing with infertility issues. Some helpful therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which can aid clients in reframing negative thoughts about their situation. Expressive writing and art therapy can help clients process difficult feelings. Clients might also benefit from group therapy to experience support from others who are dealing with the same problems.

How long does therapy for infertility issues take?

There is no set length for therapy that addresses infertility or reproductive concerns. Some clients might find it helpful to continue therapy during their pregnancy to have healthy ways to cope with any associated stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma. Some clients who decide not to pursue fertility treatments might benefit from the support of a therapist. The duration of therapy varies depending on the individual client’s specific needs and goals.
