The focus of my work is to help people live life based on their values. I use a gentle, honest approach to help my clients to identify their struggles and take steps to move toward the life they want. I help my clients to improve their emotion regulation and communication skills, while empowering them to move in a valued direction. It is my philosophy that although we my not have caused our struggles we are responsible to learn and grow from them.

The Clinic was launched to honor our mission of serving the community by providing affordable and inclusive therapy services at the highest level of care, while offering quality training and development to clinicians. We offer affordable therapy options starting at $40 per hour with one of our Graduate Clinical Interns, as well as options with highly experienced therapists that have been practicing for 10-20+ years. We have someone for everyone!

At Better Days Behavioral Health, we want to help you grow and connect in your family, personal and work life. We have a team of professionals that have a strong knowledge base to address and support anxiety, depression, mood disorders, anger, trauma and other struggles. Our clinicians are trained in multiple modalities such as DBT, CBT, EMDR, Sand Tray, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. We work with our clients to assess their individual needs and create a specialized treatment plan to address each fully. We provide services in a compassionate and responsive manner to address the mental health needs of our clients.

I work with children with behavior difficulties, autism or other developmental needs. This includes helping parents learn parenting techniques specific to their child and learn how to work with the school to create accommodations to help. I also work with children (age 2 and up), youth, young adults and adults regarding anxiety, trauma, depression, adoption and working through change of life stages. Finally, I can bring my experience with all ages together to help improve family communication and dynamics. My dogs work with me to help clients feel welcome and to reduce anxiety in sessions.

My goal is not only to assist in navigating these present challenges but also to provide tools that will instill confidence in your future self to conquer them. As a clinician, I am passionate about working with couples, families, and individuals to foster healthy and thriving relationships. I believe my role as a therapist is to collaborate with my clients toward a more desirable future and provide a safe, non-judgmental, supportive environment that nurtures growth and healing. We are all a part of a greater whole and are influenced by others, including our family of origin, current relationships, society and culture; therefore, I approach therapy from an integrative holistic perspective.

Relationship is everything. We all have many relationships, and often, those relationships go into conflict. Conflict in any relationship leads to emotional distress. Whether that conflict is with a spouse or lover, ourselves, friends or family, our community, or even the broader world, all of our relationships and the conflict they can contain influence our mood, thoughts, decisions, behaviors, and communications. External relational conflict occurs between spouses, friends, family, colleagues, and others. Internal relational conflict occurs between us and things like food, our bodies, and sense of self-worth.

It takes an act of courage to go to counseling. I provide clients a place to work through concerns without being judged. I believe counseling is a partnership and look to help clients who feel like their coping skills are no longer working. I see individuals and work on with them on mood, addiction, life transitions and career and school difficulties. I work with children to develop behavioral and emotional coping skills to succeed in life. I help parents with parenting. I work with couples to promote healthy communication and intimacy. I recognize that the client is the true expert in his or her own life and empower the individual.

I believe that therapy is about finding the inner strengths inside of yourself that can allow you to become the person you want to be. I provide individual and family therapy to address client and family social, emotional and behavioral concerns. I am specialized in working with victim trauma, general mental health problems, substance abuse, chronic behavioral health problems, and youth with sexually maladaptive behavior issues. I also have experience working with children and families struggling with history of domestic violence, addiction, and working with adolescents on aggression replacement, acceptance and responsibility and implementing healthy lifestyles. Open legal issues impacting the client/ family will result in additional charges per fee policy.

I aim to help couples overcome infidelity, addiction, trauma, emotional distance, intimacy issues, communication issues, & lost connection. I also provide relational counseling to resolve conflicts in other significant relationships such as parent/adult child, friends, etc. My services also include individual therapy for people dealing with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, body image disorders, etc. In addition to working with a diverse population, my lived experience of being a South Asian immigrant allows me to connect with those with multicultural issues, adjustment issues, immigration-related stress, and/or family conflicts.

Therapy is an intimate process; revealing feelings might feel scary and uncomfortable. My greatest reward as a counselor is helping my clients explore ways to make changes in their lives that will allow them to look forward to the future with hope. I provide my clients with a warm, nonjudgmental environment and safe place to explore the issues throughout the counseling journey. I use a variety of approaches for individual or group counseling to help my clients, depending on individual needs. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I’m certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors NBCC.

I am skilled intern who is compassionate about working with the local community on helping with your mental health needs. I have worked in community mental health for 3 years and am continuing to make strides in my education to assist clients seeking mental health treatment/services. I am dedicated to providing exceptional care and effective treatment to individuals. I am working under a clinical supervisor at Modern Wellness Psychotherapy and Healing.

I have an extensive background working with SMI clients and work well with clients diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. I also appreciate working with clients who are of Native American background and I am very knowledgeable of the culture of the Akimel O'odham people. I also utilize integrated therapies such as DBT, CBT and Existential therapy when working with those experiencing grief and loss and seek to assist clients experiencing bereavement. I also work well with adolescents, adults and older adults.

I have a passion about helping children and teens find their voice in this midst of disconnection. As humans, we are created for connection. Often, this disconnection to self and others can create stress, exhaustion and loneliness. I desire to be a listening ear and seek to understand you to promote healing through the challenges occurring in your life. I can assist you by guiding you through physical and emotional development, family dynamics, school challenges, communication, relationship distress and trauma. I desire to walk with you on the journey for healing and together we will achieve goals for your child & family.
