“The purpose of psychotherapy is to set people free.” -Rollo May. Sometimes you realize you need to make changes but it may be hard to do it on your own. Looking for a therapist can feel daunting but is a courageous step when you need support. When someone comes to my office, I honor why they came, who they are, and what they would like to address through therapy. Most importantly, I treat all my clients with respect, compassion and kindness. The therapist/client relationship is of the utmost importance and it is an honor and privilege to work with you on your journey.

I am a firm believer that therapy is for anyone and everyone who wants to have increased positive experiences or to have healthier relationships with family, friends or a life partner. Depression, anxiety, sadness, isolation; all of these can feel overwhelming and prevent us from participating in the things we enjoy or even trying new things. Many of the issues we experience in our daily lives stem from skills we have not been able to develop, and my passion is to help you along this journey of finding and cultivating those skills. Finding fulfillment in life is something you deserve and therapy can be that beneficial step.

I am not able to accept any new patients. I work with adults and seniors and have training and/or significant experience in diagnosing and treating most issues and disorders with the exception of drug/alcohol abuse. I treat people with 'life issues', the psychological version of the flu and people with more serious or complicated problems such as severe OCD, bi polar, eating disorders, and trauma--psychological version of pneumonia....and everything in between. My goal is to help people identify their problem, decide upon treatment goal(s), decide treatment options, and work together to achieve their goals.

The two most important qualities that I bring into each session with you are respect and appreciation--for your path as an individual, and for the creativity and resilience of the human spirit. In our visits, I strive to provide a safe, non-critical, therapeutic space; an interpersonal space that allows for open and honest self expression, self exploration and self acceptance. I try to listen well, and then to provide feedback tailored to your individual needs and inclinations. I bring over twenty years of experience, research, and training in brain-behavior relationships to my work as a therapist.

There are many benefits from participating in therapy. Therapists can provide support, problem-solving skills, and enhanced coping strategies for issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship troubles, trauma, grief, stress management, and creative blocks. Many people also find that counselors can be a tremendous asset to managing personal growth, interpersonal relationships, and the hassles of daily life. Therapists can provide a fresh perspective on a difficult problem or point you in the direction of a solution.

You’re not sure when it happened, but one day you woke up and didn’t recognize the person next to you in bed. It’s heartbreaking that this might be the end of your dreams together. It came on suddenly but you know it's been growing. You started noticing the little things. They’d misunderstand your jokes, and things like socks on the floor began to frustrate you. Now there’s a disconnect and space between you that seems impossible to cross. You feel lost and unknown, lonely when you’re together, especially when you’re together. It hurts. You long to be seen by the person you love, but it feels like you're speaking different languages

The decision to choose yourself is a highly courageous one. I believe transformative growth can come at any point in life despite periods of suffering and trauma. I witness struggles being turned into opportunities for resolution, growth, and ultimately self-evolution. I am passionate about guiding clients through the process of reconnecting with their bodies and looking within for the answers they seek. I am in my 7th year of providing care and support to those living with a variety of presentations including depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, PTSD, neurodivergence, life transitions, and stress.
